After the summer break, we’re back with even more exciting topics and a slightly different format for our CDI Meet-up. Get ready for the best edition yet and join us for the first part of the 6th CDI Meet-up!

When and where?
8 October 2024, starting at 5:00 PM, at the Algebra University College campus.

At this Meet-up, we will bring together leading experts and enthusiasts from the world of design and engineering, who face a wide range of client demands and the challenges of complex projects on a daily basis. These professionals leverage a variety of software tools to tackle these challenges — and through three presentations, they will share their experiences and practical insights.

The focus will be on three powerful tools:
Revit — with an emphasis on architecture and structural design,
Civil 3D, and
Lumion.

The first 30 minutes of the Meet-up will feature Domagoj Vincek, Design Engineer at Vodoprivredno projektni biro, who will deliver a presentation titled:
“Civil 3D – Tips and Tricks.”

In this engaging session, the following topics will be highlighted:

  • The advantages and limitations of working on large-scale infrastructure projects in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • How to systematise and speed up workflows using Data Shortcuts and AutoCAD Map as integral components of Civil 3D
  • A demonstration of the process for automatically generating drawings for delivery
  • Automating the editing of cross-sections

The second presentation will be delivered by Roko Šarić, D&R at ATP Zagreb Architects & Engineers d.o.o.

This presentation will focus on the following topics:

  • How to make a “user-friendly” program even more user-friendly
  • Creating your own library of materials and objects
  • Modifying custom render styles
  • Advanced use of Lumion objects
  • How to speed up Lumion without losing detail
  • Creating PBR materials
  • Building a 3D city in just 3 clicks
  • Orthogonal views for better presentations
  • New is always better — leveraging the latest features
  • “Stickers” that make a difference

The final presentation will be delivered by Martina Pavlović Cerinski, BIM Manager at Elektroprojekt d.d., and will cover Revit software.

Revit is one of the leading tools for BIM modelling, enabling architects and engineers to design and collaborate efficiently on complex construction projects.
In her presentation, Martina will share a variety of tips and tricks to help speed up project workflows and ensure better control of the model — covering everything from simple keyboard shortcuts to process automation using Dynamo scripts.

The workshops will cover intermediate to advanced levels of software use.
If you want to stay one step ahead and join leading industry experts — make sure to register as soon as possible!

Spaces are limited, with priority given to members of the Centre.

After the Meet-up, we’ll continue the tradition with an informal networking session at Beer & Technology, this time Powered by Prior.
See you there!
