This year’s DigiDeck25, taking place on November 6, 2025, at the Mozaik Event Center in Zagreb, as part of the Educational Stage powered by Algebra Bernays University, features two exclusive workshops that bring the BIM approach to life through practical examples and collaborative work among experts from different areas of the construction sector.
The workshops “1 BIM, please” and “My Template is Better Than Your Template” focus on two key components of every successful BIM project – alignment among participants and a well-structured data framework. They are designed for designers, contractors, and supervising engineers across all technical disciplines, and will be led by BIM managers and consultants with years of experience on both international and domestic projects.
The ‘1 BIM, please’ Workshop – Agreement as the Foundation of the Project

The workshop “1 BIM, please”, led by Filip Andabaka (BIM Manager at Salterra), Goran Anić (Associate Partner at ATP Engineers & Architects), and Vedran Orešić (BIM Consultant and Lecturer at Algebra Bernays University), is designed as a simulation of a real-life scenario in which designers, contractors, and investors try to align on the organization of a BIM project.
Through role-playing and the sticky notes methodology, participants will get familiar with the process of defining goals, exchanging information, and establishing collaboration rules. During the 90-minute workshop, participants will actively work through the core elements of preparing an EIR (Exchange Information Requirements) and a BEP (BIM Execution Plan).
The aim is to demonstrate that BIM documents are not just a formality, but the result of agreement among all stakeholders. This approach reduces misunderstandings, speeds up coordination, and builds a shared understanding of project objectives.
The workshop leaders deliberately avoid bureaucratic language and heavy theory, instead showing through practical examples what it really means to apply BIM principles in a real-world environment.
“My Template is Better Than Your Template” Workshop – A Structure That Brings Order

The second workshop, “My Template is Better Than Your Template”, brings together 30 participants who, through teamwork and a mentorship approach, explore what makes a good BIM template and how it impacts project quality.
Filip Andabaka, Vedran Orešić, and Goran Anić will guide participants through four project development phases – from the conceptual stage to documentation handover – with the goal of collectively defining the core elements of an ideal template.
Through practical exercises, participants will analyze data structure, naming conventions, presentation standards, and parameters needed for coordination. By the end of the workshop, they will compile a set of recommendations outlining what a good template must include to support the complete BIM process.
The workshop’s message is clear and simple: a template is not just a technical add-on, but a tool that reflects the workflow and organizational level of the entire project.
Shared Goal – Understand, Simplify, and Apply
Both workshops focus on the same principle: BIM is not an end in itself, but a framework that enables better collaboration, clearer information, and higher-quality decisions.
Through hands-on work and the exchange of experiences, participants will learn to recognize how processes and tools within the BIM framework directly impact project success.
The number of participants in the workshops is limited, and registration will be possible after securing a conference ticket.
