The Center for Digital Construction Croatia, in cooperation with partners, is excited to embark on a tour of Croatia! Rijeka is the first city outside of Zagreb where we will hold a CDI Meet-up on April 7th from 5:00 PM at the RiHub premises (Ul. Ivana Grohovca 1/a, 51000 Rijeka), with the aim of spreading knowledge about digital construction, connecting experts and encouraging the exchange of experiences at the local level.
How are digital technologies changing the way we design, build and manage facilities? What are the challenges and benefits of implementing the BIM process in Croatia? How are digital twins used to monitor changes in the subsea environment? The answers to these and many other questions are provided by the CDI Meet-up Rijeka, an event that brings together experts in the fields of digital construction, architecture and engineering.
This free meet-up is an opportunity for all professionals and enthusiasts who want to learn more about the application of BIM, digital twins and advanced platforms in design and construction. Lectures cover various aspects of digitalization in construction, from underwater research to the reconstruction of historical buildings and the development of new collaboration tools.
Event Program
🔹 17:00 – 17:15 | Introductory Lecture
🔸 Center for Digital Construction Croatia
🔹 17:15 – 17:45 | From BIM to VOLUM3: Digital Evolution on the Žabica Project
🔸 Ivana Šajn, Lead Designer, 3LHD
The Žabica Bus Station project in Rijeka is not only an important infrastructure project, but also a milestone in the digital transformation of Studio 3LHD. Ivana Šajn will present how BIM and tools like VOLUM3 have shaped the design and collaboration process and improved business efficiency.

🔹 17:45 – 18:15 | Digital Twins of Subsea Infrastructure and Analysis of Changes over Time
🔸 Mateo Viškanić, M.Sc., Vectrino
How to track changes in underwater objects over time? Mateo Viškanić from Vectrino will explain how digital twins of subsea infrastructure are created, from data collection to 3D model creation and condition comparison through repeated surveys. Learn how digitalization is used for inspection, maintenance and management of coastal infrastructure.

🔹 18:15 – 18:45 | BIM processes in the reconstruction of the CNB building in Zagreb
🔸 Marin Račić, director, 3D Art
The reconstruction of the CNB building in Rački Street in Zagreb represents the first application of the ISO 19650 standard in Croatia. Marin Račić will present how this standard is adapted to the project program, how BIM is harmonized with the CDE platform and what are the key challenges of digitization in the reconstruction of historical buildings.

🔹 18:45 – 19:15 | Application of BIM technology in the CHC Zagreb – Rebro project
🔸 Antonija Plavotić, B.A., ZDL Architects
How can BIM improve the planning, execution and maintenance of complex hospital systems? Antonija Plavotić from ZDL Architects will present the application of BIM in the CHC Zagreb – Rebro project, where digital coordination played a key role in optimizing the design.

At the end of the meet-up, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, exchange experiences, and connect with colleagues in the industry during the Beer and Technology session! See you in Rijeka!
